I'm in my BST class right now, I finished all my work so I get to go on the internet, woo! I haven't blogged anything for a bit that's actually interesting.
I'm going to visit Adam over Thanksgiving break:), his parents said it was ok if I come up. But Ms. Clifton told me last night my mom wasn't going to let me! But my mom said she would let me go if it was alright with Adam's parents! Cayla says it might be because Ms. Clifton wouldn't let any of her daughters go to another country, by themselves, to visit a boy, that she doesn't even know herself. Cayla approves of Adam as a nice kid though, so yay. Everyone keeps asking me if I like him! I guess it's 'cus I was really psyched about getting to see him (still am, just not as hyper about it), and I talked about it randomly. They had reason to ask then, but it still got aggravating. Especially because Katie doesn't believe me, she's convinced I'm either "in love", as she says, with Justin or Adam, and I'm not romantically interested in either of them! They're both just cool guys who are my friends.
We're studying/reading The Cask of Amontillado in English right now, it's really cool. Though I feel like I'm the only who's really interested in it. It's cool how Poe adds details that I wouldn't normally notice, but Ms. Brittain points them out. Like how it's Carnival (Mardi gras) and all the men where masks, Ms. Brittain never said why the reason was that she pointed that out really. But I was thinking Montressor plotted revenge for this time because Fortunato would be drunk, but also, no one would know who they were or where they went, so no one could really press charges against Montressor for being the last person with Fortunato ('cus you can't tell who men are 'cus of their masks). Maybe I'm totally wrong on that example, but just other things like that. And it wasn't a creepy story like some other things we've read (that I didn't understand), written by Poe. It was more of a disturbing story, but it had a lot underlying emotion and motivation. Hmm, I don't even think I know how to define the word "underlying", is it even a word?
Ms. Brittain was talking about words today and she used "subterranean" to describe the Montressor catacombs, I think subterranean is a cool word, I'm gonna try to start using it. Would basements be "subterranean"?
I've been staying at Cayla's the past two nights, lots of fun there, hehe. Ms Clifton isn't feeling well though, I tried to help around house, I put the dishes away, not sure if I was very helpful though, I didn't know where stuff went, so I had to ask Chloe. It's amazing that I didn;t know where plastic bowls went, I mean, I use them all the time at their house; they have lots of good cereal:). I really want cantalope, on Wednesday I ate a whole cantalope in about 40 minutes, very yummy.
Tonight I'm sleeping in my own bed:), hoorah. Amy Sax is still staying with Mary and I until tomorrow noon. Mom and Dad come back from Detroit at 5pm, Saturday. I'll make my flight reservation that night. I think I'm gonna fly Air Canada, they seem to be the cheapest, especially since Thanksgiving is like the 2nd most busiest time to fly! Oh my word, OIA is going to be CRAZY the day I leave to see Adam, haha, the day before Thanksgiving....
