I miss "my" Adam

An Overview of my Canada trip:
Wednesday- Went to get my hair in French braided pigtails at 9:30, then off to the airport. I sat next to a couple from Montreal on the flight to Calgary, and got most of my school work done on that flight too. Then I changed planes in Toronto to get on a plane to Calgary (Canadian customs are so fast!). I sat next to some guy who was graduating from Ohio State/University (not sure which) in December and was also getting married in December. When the plane landed, I do believe it took 15 minutes to actually get to the terminal and everything but it felt like an hour. I was so excited when I got off the plane, I was like power walking off the plane. It took me until I got to the escalator that led to the main place where Adam would pick me up for me to remember that I really had no clue what he looked like ;P. But I saw a kid who looked around my age with brown hair waving at me and assumed it was him, haha. It was him, btw. He was standing by his lil bro, Eric, who's in 7th grade. They had both just come from Hockey practice (they're on the same team). Then, after hugging Adam, we went to pick up his dad (Mr. Ranson), who was coming in at the same time I was (he works in AZ). Then we went to A+W, I had a muffin, and went "home". After getting my stuff put away and having a tour of the house, Adam, me, and Eric made hot chocolate and went downstairs/to the basement to watch Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, but only got halfway through it. While we were watching it I leaned against Adam with my back and curled up with the blanket that was from "my" bed 'cus I was cold. (it got down to about 12 degrees that night). Then we said goodnight and I went up to bed. It was only 11:30 Calgary time, and I couldn't get to sleep. So I went downstairs because I could hear Adam and his dad downstairs, they were playing around with Yoshi, their dog. So I talked to them for about an hour, during that time Eric came down. I got to know all of them a bit better during that time. Afterwards, around 12:30 local time, we all went to bed for real, hehe.
Thursday- I woke up early (like 7am my time, 5am local time) and went downstairs and watched what went on outside they're living room window at 5-ish in the morning. People were walking down the street, and some cars. Mrs. Ranson came down around 8 local time and said she would go wake Adam up. I had already tried, but I couldn't get his door open, it was slammed shut really tight. So Adam came up and we had breakfast (toast with pb). Then we started to get everything out and ready for making the pumpkin pie filling. Eric came down and we made some scrambled eggs. While we were halfway through making the filling Mr. and Mrs. Ranson came down and said they were going to get the rest of their stuff, including the dining room table, out of storage because they had just moved like 2 months ago into their house. So me and the boys made the pie filling, but had no pie shell and would have to buy one later. Then we went into the basement and watched the macy's thanksgiving day parade and hockey (I wanted the parade, Eric wanted the hockey, Adam wanted whatever I want to watch-yay.) After a bit the parents came home and we unloaded the truck, it was fun. There were lotsa old toys, including star wars guns:), and of course, there was the dining room table and chairs. Adam put the dining room table together. Then we went to pizza hut for lunch, I had a cesear salad, no pizza for me:), I didn't want any. Then we went to the grocery store to get a pie crust, we also got waffles and bananas (I didn't know at the time, but it was because they knew that's what I eat for breakfast every morning). We looked for Canadian Rockets/American Smarties but didn't find any, then went home and baked the pie (the turkey was already in the oven).
Then Eric left for guitar lessons, so Adam and I were left alone to make banana milkshakes:), they were yummy. Then parents came back and picked me and Adam up (dropped eric off) and we went to Adam's parent/teacher conferences. According to his teachers he is very smart and makes some of the best grades in his class. Afterwards, we went home and had thanksgiving dinner, which was yummy; though Mr Ranson gave Mrs Ranson a hard time about how it was 9:20 at night my time when we were having dinner. But I didn't mind having it then, I mean, it was on time (7:20). The pumpkin pie turned out good. Afterwards we (me and the boys) went down to the basement with our hot chocolate and watched Survivor for Eric and a bit of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. We got halfway through it and got bored and went to bed because it was late. I liked going downstairs into the basement 'cus it always meant I got lean against Adam. We hugged goodnight and I went up to bed.
Friday- I woke up and went downstairs and to wake Adam up only to find that Anna had called him like 2 minutes before and woken him up. But I still talked to him, it was funny 'cus he was in boxers so he couldn't take his off comforter/blankets. Then I went upstairs to wash my face and had breakfast, then Adam came up and Eric came into the kitchen too. We all got ready to go to Banff, it took a while, I had to wear a red parka. Then we went to Tom Horton's for [more] breakfast. The boys had a bagel with creme cheese, I had a small plain doughnut. With our food in hand we started going up to Lake Louise (it was 2.5 hours). It was really pretty on the way up. Mrs. Ranson had a praise and worship tape in (Jars of Clay) and we sang along to it for a while. Once we got there it was really pretty! We went inside the "chateau" and looked in the shops. Then we took some pics and left. On the way down to banff we stopped at a waterfall and took lotsa pics, it was all icy and cold. Then we went to Banff, a lil resort town thing. It was cute, we had lunch at a place called Earl's,I had a grilled chicken sandwich (it was 11 Canadian dollars!). Then I shopped for presents for my family. I got my mom a Christmas tree ornament, my dad Maple sugar candy, and my sister got a metal key on a necklace that had black jewel things on it. Afterwards, it was a 40 minutes drive home. After having a bit of something to eat (leftover pizza from yesterday) me, Adam, and Eric went to this wrestling tournament for local schools so that I could meet Anna (one of Adam's best friends). Adam was supposed to be in the tournament, but his leg got really messed up like a month before, so he couldn't. I love Anna, she's great, I'm glad that she and Adam and are friends. She gave me a present, a cute lil tank from Gap (it's pink). When we got home we played a little bit of Cranium. Adam beat me and Eric way easily-he's so good at that game! Then we went down in the basement to watch tv. I, of course, leaned against Adam (a bit more than the night before). We had hot chocolate before we went downstairs to watch tv. We ended up getting halfway through spiderman, getting bored, and started watching cheap, 80's movies on tv (Example: Kujo). Then we hugged, said goodnight, and went to bed.
Saturday- I woke up Saturday morning and sadly realized there were only a few hours until I had to go back to Florida. I wrote notes to Adam, Eric, and their parents telling them how much I enjoyed staying with them and getting to know them. Then I went downstairs and had some breakfast, Adam came up and had breakfast too. Eric and Adam helped me pack and get my bags downstairs. We then went to Walmart to see if we could find Rockets/Smarties, they didn't have them at Walmart but they had them at the mall that wasconnected to walmart (how weird/cool). Adam and Eric found them in a drugstore in the mall. We went back home, had a bit of lunch, tooka few last pictures, and left for the airport ::tear:: . Adam and Eric walked me to the ticketing desk and went as far as they could go in the airport without needing a ticket. Then I hugged goodbye to both of them and hugged Adam again. While we were hugging, he kissed meon the cheek. Then I went to the gate (through the metal detector stuff too). It wasn't until later that I found out Adam's parents had come to stay goodbye and I had just missed them. I wish I hadn't missed them, I never even found out if Mrs. Ranson liked me or not, she was very quiet. It would of been nice to say goodbye to the whole family, I might not see them for 2 years or something.
I got on the plane and started listening to Sixpence None the Richer, which is sad and depressing music(bad idea). So, with realizing that I don't get to see Adam anymore (it takes a while for things to hit me) and listening to music combined, I started to cry a little. I stopped in 10 minutes though, and it wasn't sobbing, just a runny nose and a few tears. That flight wasn't too bad, I had a windo seat and no one sat in the 2 other seats in my row.
When I got off the plane I headed towards the tram that I need to take to get to Terminal 2. That a took a while, and the bus was crammed full of people. Then I went to get my luggage, which also took a while. When I was waiting for my bag I noticed this fairly good-looking black kid, he was in highschool. he was wearing military uniform and his patch said "Hargrave Military Academy". Warren says, by the way I described his uniform, that he was a "marine" (but stillin hs). Once I got my suitcase I went in line for customs (American customs are so horrible). The kid from Hargrove ended up standing next to me and we talked for a bit. He had a Canadian passport, I think it's kinda funny: a kid with a Canadian passport at an American military school. It took like 40 minutes to wait in line for customs. By the time I got past customs and to the security place, I was quite frazzled because my plane left in 10 minutes ( I had had 1 hour and 45 minutes between flights total). Then the ladt decided that (in front of the Hargrave kid!) that I was dangerous or something and made me takeoff my shoes, took the metal detector and scanned me, searched all of my bags and even patted me down. I was so embarassed! I was also worried about being stranded in the airport, so I got stressed out and all blah and tears started to form in my eyes. They didn't spill over to my cheeks until I was at gate J (after the lady let me go) and by the time I got to my gate (Gate Q), I heard the announcer say "last boarding call for flight 922 to Orlando, Florida. Last call for flight 922." I wasso upset by the time I got on the plane, it took agood 10 minutes to really get my breathing under control. Then I wanted to listen to music, but my sixpence CD was still in there, so that didn't help. It just reminded me of how much I wished I hadn't only had 2 days to spend with Adam, and I started to tear up a bit again. Eventually though I calmed down and the guy in seat C (I was in seat A and no one was in seat B) offered me a tissue. I was very grateful for the tissue, I think it was nicest thing anyone did for me that whole day after I left the Ransons.
I got into Orlando on time at11:30, got hom at 12:30, went to sleep at one, and didn't wake up till 11. Only then did I wake up 'cus I had to go to work. That night on AIM I found out that my old lugleader, Olivia Munizzi (who's now a soph at UCF) is engaged. Her now fiance, John, asked her Wednesday at the beach. He got down on one knee and wrote it in the sand. I'm not sure if that's how it really went, but that's how I heard it through the "Northland grapevine".
