Surprise

Sailing was really fun -so beautiful. Miy great great great uncle Martin used to own the boat. He owned it from from its commisioning (1918) to his death in 1959. He named it Surprise. The boat now runs as a sailing boat for tourists and goes out four times a day for 2 hours each. We talked for a long time with the current owners of it and at the end of the sail, they gave us a peice of the original deck (which had to be replaced with new wood a few years ago).

We met a couple from England on Surprise and learned that a few years ago they had both taken a year off of work and traveled the world. They backpacked through Asia for 2 months, spent 8 months in Australia and stayed in so many hostels along the way that they've decided they're never staying in one again, haha. I want to do that sometime. I want to just take a sabbatical and just travel, meet people, and have some adventures.

At the cottage, I've begun to get a case of... cabin fever, I guess. I felt like I was gonna go crazy if I didn't go somewhere (I had been reading Angela's Ashes for 3 hours), but didn't have anywhere to go. I tried dancing, to see if that would get rid of my energy -no good. I must have danced for an hour or so. Finally I gave in and just went running, haha. It was worth it. I felt fine after I did.

Anywho, tomorrow is my last day in Belfast, Tuesday we go to Orchard Beach. Tuesday we're spending the day with our old neighbors who moved up to New England and then Wednesday we're staying with my mom's old friend.
