..... I feel like such a loser, haha. Who else sits at home on a Friday night and does AP American History and AP Government homework, while everyone else is out with their friends or significant other?
Atleast I'm interested in those subjects though. I love AP Amer 'cus we don't learn squat about the wars -we learn about the social/cultural impacts of the politics of the day. It's so cool. I love thinking that there was a girl in whatever time period we are studying who was like me. I wonder what she liked to do, if she liked music, or maybe she liked to cook. It's neat to wonder what her views were of politics and what her family situation was like. Did she believe in love? Or was she forced to marry someone her father liked?
I think I might want to be an Anthropology major, but maybe not. You have to be creative when it comes to finding jobs with that specialization. It'd be cool though. I like learning what the common man thought and dealt with -not just what the history book says is true and pleasing to the current government.
So, um, cheers to me finding a boy to be with on Friday nights, eh?
-Wow, just thinking about all my recents posts: I'm pathetic and boring. Gah.
Hmm, well, I do have some interesting stuff to say...I think. Well, interesting to me.
I still love stars and want to go far away from the city and just sit in the grass, curled up in a blanket and watch them all night. I miss going to camp every summer and being able to just be a girl w/o worrying about anything except if I can climb to the top of the wall in 10 secs or less. Nowadays, everyone thinks teens like me should be getting good grades, be knowledgeable about global relations, and participate in the community. They expect so much. I wish they would remember that we're still just kids, even though 16 may sound older, we really aren't much better than any other kids in the public school system. But at the same time, we are ready for more responsibility and even more challenging topics to tackle. I guess we're a paradox: we want it, but we don't like getting it.
