Today was such a good day! It was awesome! Nothing that great happened, but it was just a feel-good day. I felt so pretty even though half my face was red, haha. I was wearing my fairly new AE jeans and this black 3/4 length shirt that goes around you shoulders (not the neck) and has a pretty "diamond" pin on it.
Church was outside in Blue Jacket Park 'cus WPHS (where it's normally held) wasn't open yet. Then mom and I went to Park Ave to get Kay a b-day present. After Park Ave, we went to Ann Taylor Loft, they're flip flops were on sale, one pair for $5, I got 2 pairs, one black, the other light blue. Then we went to an antique's store (Halley's) and I saw these beautiful pearls, 16". I've been looking for pearls to buy Cayla, so my mom asked the lady how much they were and she said "$125, but I can call the lady who is selling those and ask her to come down" and so she did, and the lady said that she'd sell them for $100! My mom said, after hearing the price, "I'll buy them for you Amy, but you can't give them away to anyone." So I get pearls! Not sure if for my 15th or 16th birthday though:/.
I went to Kay's surprise b-day party today, Kristy and Katie were there (the only ppl I knew out of the 25 kids there.) It was at the RDV ice skating rink. I left early (at 7), it went from 5:45-9 though.
I think the reason why it was such a good day and I'm feeling so happy is that Northland's youthgroups are starting again, they're so much fun and just add something to look forward to into my sometimes (sadly) "mundane" life. It's really encouraging and uplifting to be around other Christians, have fun, and praise God with them.
Yesterday was my mother's 50th birthday, she got real mad 'cus my dad didn't get her anything, her mother wanted her to take HER out to dinner, and my dad's parents gave her a gift they were thinking about giving to GoodWill. But my dad redeemed himself and bought her a 14 k, white gold bracelet with blue stones, very pretty.
Last night, after Set Up/LugROX, a lot of us freshmen and lugleaders/college students went to Taco Bell and hung out, yay for being a highschooler! I love it! WOOHOO!
Chris Hall is the lead singer for the lugROX band, but there's no femal singer anymore, so I told him I would volunteer if he needed one. He said it was a good idea and he would check it out. I don't know if he meant it, or it was just a nice way of saying "no", haha.
